About the Author

Fishback is a singer, actor, composer, screenplay writer, and author of the books Plant a New Seed and King of the Gang. Born in Nashville, Tenn., and raised in Louisville, Ky., he has since lived in New York City, where he was a struggling musician for more than 25 years under labels that included Duke Peacock, Out-of-Sight, Tou Sea, and ABKO. Falsely accused of drug trafficking and spending eight years in prison, Fishback discovered his passion for African American rights and the deliverance of his brothers from past oppression. He recently moved back to Louisville, and he is currently of filming his new movie called Plant a New Seed.
